Human Resources Generalist (Temp)

Purpose: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior HR management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, and employment.

Essential Job Functions:

Complete the following functions in accordance with Managed Resources policies:

• Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all Company personnel; assists in implementation of personnel policies and procedures
• Handles on and off boarding for all new hires and separating Employees
• Maintains and administers Company leave of absence procedures
• Actively responds to and maintains multistate UI claims, wage reporting and garnishments
• Maintains HRIS records and compiles reports from database as needed
• Maintains Company organization charts
• Maintains training log and ensures completion of assigned training to Employees
• Ensures all required EE licenses, credentials and physicals are current
• Plans and administers all internal EE events
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
• Assists in administering and monitors the performance evaluation process
• Performs benefits and COBRA administration to include claim resolution as needed, approving invoices for payment and communicating information to Employees
• Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvement in efficiency of the department services performed
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
• Complete special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transaction
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned

• Must have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, have strong multi-tasking ability and be reliable
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Outgoing, but professional
• Must be able to work well under pressure and adjust priorities, as needed
• Must be able to work independently or in team environment, as needed
• Preferred to have HR degree or in progress of HR degree
• Preferred to have at least 3-5 years of experience in high volume Corporate office environment in Human Resources involving compliance, on boarding and recruitment
• Strongly preferred to have knowledge of federal and state employment laws
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must be proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
